11 - Ravens - George Dawes Green

What a great book! I've never read anything by George Dawes Green before but i'm eager to read something else after reading Ravens. It was suspenseful, strange and captivating. I could barely put it down last night because I just had to know what was going to happen next. A compelling story of good vs evil. I highly recommend this one!!

10 - Perfect Fifths - Megan McCafferty

It was nice to hear from someone other than Jessica for a change and to finally hear Marcus' words through his own mouth. Hard to believe that book took place in one day but seemed to flow pretty well considering.... I think I got a little tired of the Jessica Darling series but still it was a nice ending to a nice story. There were some loose ends however which make me wonder.... Is the book Megan McCafferty comments on in Twitter/Facebook another Jessica Darling/Marcus Flutie novel? Time will tell......

9. Fall - Colin McAdam

The entire time I was reading this book I just wanted it to end. I found it confusing and annoying. However as I got to the end I wanted it to keep going. Probably one of the strangest books I've ever read. Part love story, part mystery.... It's keeps you guessing until the very end. I can't say i'm eager to read anything else by Colin McAdam but this one did make me stop and think. Definitely a far cry from the chicklit I read in the beginning of the month!

8. The Amazing Adventures of Dietgirl - Shauna Reid

I really enjoyed this book. As someone who started Weight Watchers about a month ago it was heartwarming to know you're not alone in the struggle to lose weight. I commend her journey and feel Shauna Reid is an inspiration to all women trying to lose weight - whether it's 20 pounds or 120 pounds - it's a struggle. I loved how she learned to love herself despite the numbers on the scale. I highly recommend this book!

7. Shoe Addicts Anonymous - Beth Harbison

Ahhh another wonderful chicklit book. Mindless, heartwarming and funny! I recommend this one to someone looking for a quick read.

6. The Chosen One - Carol Lynch Williams

I really enjoyed this one...except for the ending. For me it just sort of ended with a lot of loose ends. I guess you have to use your imagination but I would have liked a chapter or two maybe written 5 years later to show me how she adapted to her new life, if she ever saw her family or Joshua. Other than that it was a good book.

5. Fourth Comings - Megan McCafferty

My oh my how Jessica Darling has grown. Seriously though it's amazing to think back to the vocabulary and thought process of her in the first book and compare it to this one. There were some words I even had to look up lol. I guess that's what a Columbia education gets you..... I also think her maturing has made her see Bethany in a new light. I think the only one that hasn't growth up yet is Manda. Having read the jacket for Perfect Fifths I'm interested to see what happens next.

4 - Queen of Babble Gets Hitched - Meg Cabot

This one took awhile for me to get in to. I'd read a few pages and pick it back up a few days later. Finally somewhere in the middle of the book it started to get going for me and then got to a point where I couldn't put it down. I think the first book was the best but it was nice to see a happy ending for Lizzie.

3 - Queen of Babble in the Big City - Meg Cabot

This one took me awhile to get in to which surprised me because I could not put Queen of Babble down from the moment I picked it up. This one was slow and I didn't really get in to it until close to the end. But in true Meg Cabot form, it was a cute story with a cute happy ending. I'll be reading Queen of Babble Gets Hitched because i'm a sucker for a cute romantic chick lit book and have to read about Lizzie's wedding.

2 - The Boy Who Dared - Susan Campbell Bartoletti

I HIGHLY recommend this book. I read it in one sitting....I just could not put it down. Such a riveting and sad story that will make you stop and think and REMEMBER the past.

1 - Charmed Thirds - Megan McCafferty

I really enjoyed Charmed Thirds. I felt like Second Helpings was slow to get in to but this one started right up and kept going right through to the end. I wasn't sure about fitting all of her college years in one book (since the 1st and 2nd) focused on each of her Junior & Senior years of high school) but it worked well. I think if she had tried to break up the college years in to separate books they would have dragged on. I'm wondering if she will finally rid herself of her "teenage angst" now that she's graduated from college but kind of hoping she doesn't as it's part of her charm. Guess I'll find out when I read Fourth Comings
